American diplomat and former national security advisor to US Vice President Kamala Harris Philip Gordon predicted to Bloomberg what possible scenario Washington could use regarding Ukraine.
Gordon revealed the US scenario for Ukraine and allowed Congress to implement the “Taiwan“ formula. According to him, Washington could use this formula, relying on the security agreement signed last year.
“Such a law would not be equivalent to a defense treaty similar to the NATO treaty. But it would formalize America's commitment to arm and supply Ukraine, leaving open the possibility of US intervention in the event of a future crisis," the diplomat concluded.
Earlier, The Financial Times wrote that US President Donald Trump had suggested that China be involved in ensuring security in Ukraine. At the same time, the publication's interlocutor at the White House denied information about such discussions.
