Hawaii's Kilauea volcano has begun erupting again, spewing lava 100 meters high from its summit crater, the Associated Press reported, quoted by BTA.
This is the 32nd time the volcano has erupted since December. So far, the lava has been contained in the summit crater, located in the “Hawaii Volcanoes“ National Park.
Lava has begun flowing from the north vent into the Halemaumau crater, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. By morning, it had also begun erupting from the crater's south vent and a third vent in between.
Kilauea is one of the most active volcanoes in the world. It is located on the island of Hawaii, the largest of the Hawaiian archipelago. It is located about 320 km. south of the largest city in the state - Honolulu, which is located on the island of Oahu.
