Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will meet with the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), with which Iran severed all relations in July this year, Agence France-Presse reported, citing the Iranian news agency IRNA, BTA reports.
Tehran suspended its cooperation with the IAEA after the start of the 12-day war with Israel, which began on June 13.
The meeting is expected to conclude negotiations on concluding a new cooperation protocol between the IAEA and Iran, IRNA reported today, citing a spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry. The exact date of the meeting in Egypt was not announced.
In addition to Egypt, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who is Tehran's chief negotiator on Iran's nuclear program, will also visit Tunisia, IRNA reported.
