For another year the salaries of doctors should remain without magnification. This is the proposal of the Ministry of Health, which was met with noisy and categorically negative reactions.
Dr. Ivan Madzharov, chairman of the Bulgarian Medical Union, commented on the topic to NOVA.
Dr. Ivan Madzharov explained that the Collective Labor Agreement contains not only wages, but also rights, vacations, etc. He pointed out the disagreements and divergences in the views of the unions and the Ministry of Health. "As far as I understand the unions want a drastic 25% increase in the minimum wage. Employers say that ¼ increase is unbearable", noted the specialist.
He mentioned that this controversy is not very appropriate during an election campaign. "In the conditions of inflation, you cannot not offer any increase," said Dr. Madzharov.
In his words, the staffing crisis is based not only on pay, but also outdated policies from 15-20 years ago. "It is becoming more and more difficult to recruit new personnel," the chairman of the BLS noted.
