Repeated inspections of the entire area around the resort village of "Elenite", which was devastated by a flood yesterday, are beginning. A constructor will subsequently inspect the buildings, because many of them are compromised. This was announced at a briefing by the crisis headquarters formed in Sveti Vlas, BNT reports. The regional governor of Burgas Vladimir Krumov has requested the Ministry of Defense to provide additional forces and resources from military formations to support the activities.

Five fire brigade teams, 30 employees of the Ministry of Interior, representatives of the "Defense and Security" unit of the Nessebar municipality and volunteers continue to work on the ground, ensuring fire safety, security of the area and assistance in rescue activities. At the moment, there is no need for more volunteers, the Nessebar municipality will inform in a timely manner if any arise. More volunteers are traveling to the site, excavators and dump trucks have been mobilized to clear mud, branches and construction materials. After that, the Nessebar municipality commission will begin to describe the damage. The evacuated people will be returned to their homes, after there is assurance that the buildings are safe. The mayor of Nessebar, Nikolay Dimitrov, commented that inspections by the RDNSK for unregulated construction are still pending and emphasized that all shafts and drainage channels have been cleaned. When asked by BNT whether the ravines near "Elenite" have been cleaned after the warnings of bad weather, replied: "Are we obliged to know when there will be a disaster?!".

The Bulgarian Red Cross and the Nessebar Municipality have provided food, blankets and essential items for the evacuees, and today they will be provided with dry food packages. People are accommodated in hotel complexes, and some of them - in the Sveti Vlas City Hall. The director of the Burgas Fire Department, Commissioner Nikolay Nikolaev, announced that a family that refused to be evacuated from Elenite, but today asked for food. The fire department teams will do everything possible to reach the people and convince them to evacuate.
