Beginning of a key political week in our country. After the upheavals in the ruling coalition, new meetings of the coalition partners with Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov were expected today. They had to answer several questions:
• Will there be a new formula of the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet?
• How will the forces be distributed in it?
• Will a new partner officially enter power?
• Will they replace the Speaker of the National Assembly?
• Will a quorum be ensured after the blockage in the work of the parliament?
By noon, it became clear that the talks would not take place on Monday. The Joint Governance Council will meet on Tuesday because the BSP is not in full force for negotiations, Nova TV reported.
On Friday, both the Prime Minister and the leader of GERB Boyko Borisov stated that the responsibility for a stable majority must be borne equally by everyone in the government and they expect the BSP and "There is such a people" to answer whether they agree with the official participation of "DPS-New Beginning" in the majority.
On Monday morning, the press center of Delyan Peevski's formation announced that the leader had spoken with the prime minister and had reaffirmed his position of full support for the government, "as long as it works for the people".
All relations between the partners in the Triple Coalition regarding power are subject to their agreements and negotiations, the statement also says.
