An armed man went on a rampage and threatened customers in a restaurant in the capital, Nova TV reports. A video from a security camera posted on social networks shows the man throwing plates at windows, overturning benches and throwing a trash can in the dining hall. Three men unsuccessfully try to subdue him, but they fail until a police patrol arrives.
According to residents of the "Sveta Troitsa" neighborhood, this is not the first such incident. They say that the man has been showing aggression in public places for years and has been repeatedly admitted for treatment, but was later released again.
„Before he got to the establishment, he tried to kill an innocent person at the stop waiting for the tram, and then he was breaking cars. He is very dangerous for us. This man should not be walking freely on the street”, said a witness to the attack.
„The man was breaking windows and threatening people. My children were here and were trapped in the corner of the establishment. However, people with mental problems are protected by the law and if something happens to him, I am responsible. The police warned me that I could not touch him. "Obviously I need to arm my staff," said the owner of the establishment.
