Things with "Lukoil" are developing well. This was stated in the "Brussels 1" program on Bulgaria ON AIR by Svetoslav Benchev from the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association.
"It is commendable that the Bulgarian government has done its job and in the end there will be no tremors in the fuel market. What will happen from now on - I don't think it depends much on what is happening in Bulgaria", he added.
Regarding fuel prices, he pointed out that they have risen slightly - by about 4-5 stotinki above the average price of gasoline, 7-9 stotinki for diesel.
"But these are normal things, because after all, oil also rose in price a few days ago. Now it is again in a downward trend, so this will also be reflected when this trend is constant", the specialist predicted to Bulgaria ON AIR. Benchev described the choice of the director of the National Revenue Agency Rumen Spetsov as a special manager of "Lukoil" as a good one.
"He is not a person who does not know the sector at all. We, as an oil association, have worked with him on various topics. He knows what this is about and this task - to monitor possible cash flows that would go to Russia, I think he is a relatively good choice on the part of the government, not to say quite good", Benchev emphasized to Bulgaria ON AIR.
He concluded that we have never had a problem with fuel volumes - neither operational nor with stocks to a certain extent.
"The problem with possible sanctions, if they had come into force, would have been a problem with bank transactions. There are quantities of fuel in the country," Benchev assured.
