The energy of the protests will be difficult to calm down, the clock is ticking against the agenda of those in power. This was commented on by Boryana Dimitrova, manager of the sociological agency "Alpha Research", to the Bulgarian National Radio, emphasizing that the logic of the protests that we observed at the end of November and on December 1 is that they are growing.

"It will no longer be so easy, it is even almost impossible for those in power to rehabilitate their political existence with only changes in the budget", she believes.

According to her, "quite active social groups are taking to the square and they have basic political demands, the main thing being that they be respected - both the political representatives, and their right to an opinion, and their right to participate in political life":

"It is difficult to control the protests with the usual parliamentary means. It seems to me that the protest will focus on political demands and will continue to insist on the resignation of the government," says the sociologist.

Boryana Dimitrova emphasized that one political process is the protest, and another process is the elections: "The big question is whether this great energy that we see in the squares will flow into a vote in the next elections".

The government will not resign until the adoption of the euro, she predicted and added: "This is its understanding, its duty and its responsibility. After that, it will be assessed, because in such times it is difficult to predict how far the escalation will go".

The squares gave very strong social energy to the PP-DB and their responsibility is how they will guide the political process so that people's hopes are realized, not postponed and scattered, she believes.

According to her, the image of President Rumen Radev and the theses he preaches are not recognized by the protests.
