Freezing of salaries except for the minimum wage - this is what the extension law, adopted by the outgoing cabinet, provides for, which will be voted on at first reading in the budget committee of the National Assembly. With it, the government undertakes to make a maximum of as much expenditure as it has collected in revenues.

This was summarized by BNT.

The texts will be discussed in the relevant committee, and yesterday the outgoing Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov stated:

"It is necessary to have legal and financial security until this or any other National Assembly in 2026 manages to form the necessary majority to propose a draft budget, which, like the one we proposed, can gather the positive opinion of the social partners - both employers and unions".

The two largest parliamentaryly represented political forces - GERB-SDF and PP-DB support the idea of an extension law.
