The political climate is terrible and shocking. It offends you what behavior the members of parliament allow themselves in parliament. I cannot imagine that such behavior is even possible. This is offensive to the entire Bulgarian people. If the campaign continues in such a spirit - it would be very unfortunate. This is what Lidiya Shuleva said in the program "Face to Face" on bTV.
She also commented on the increase in the price of some types of services after the adoption of the euro.
"Some types of services, mainly craft - hairdresser, manicure, cosmetics, in most cases are sole proprietorships or traders. For them, the increase in the minimum wage reflects on their costs. Therefore, a minimal increase in this type of service is reasonable. On the other side are the consultants who use it", explained Shuleva.
According to her, the increase in the consumer basket is normal for autumn-winter goods. And she added that an increase is observed in restaurants. "Some of the service providers allow themselves a more serious increase, which is impressive. Signals are being checked", also indicated Lidiya Shuleva.
"We would hardly start checking, for example, a hairdresser who made a service of 15 euros from 12 euros and 56 cents. It is not worth wasting administrative resources to start checking such an increase. But where there are drastic increases, there really are such cases, and there people who notice such drastic increases should signal. Because our job is to signal to the bodies that check so that they can do their job", she added.
"When there is no adopted regular budget, it starts with 1/12 for three months and then automatically for another three months. A new vote in the National Assembly is not even necessary. The better thing is that we have Budget 2025 than Budget 2026, because it was very wasteful in terms of expenses and overestimated in terms of revenues", she explained in connection with the extended budget.
According to her, the caretaker government can prepare many things for Budget 2026. "The caretaker government can try to set fulcrums - reducing expenses and deficit, in my opinion by about 1-1.5%. This would help public finances.
