The acting minister stated that there is a ratified agreement between Bulgaria and Greece for air operations. "Our and Greek aircraft can patrol together. This is not a problem," he stressed

Acting Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov assured that the US will not ask Bulgaria for bases for operations in Iran, as it did Romania.

"These are bilateral relations between the US and other countries," he stressed.

He announced that the Greek Minister of Defense will arrive tomorrow for a visit to Sofia, where he will hold talks with Acting Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov and himself.

„We are obliged to take measures for potential threats. Nothing more“, said Atanas Zapryanov.

The caretaker minister said that there is a ratified agreement between Bulgaria and Greece on air operations. "Our and Greek aircraft can patrol together. This is not a problem", he emphasized.

In relation to radar detection, Zapryanov said that everyone is in the unified NATO system and what we see in Bulgaria is also seen in Greece. "What is new is that two officers from the Greek armed forces will be in our coordination system between the two countries", said the caretaker minister.

He was categorical that not a single missile has been given to anyone.

Atanas Zapryanov informed that according to the note from February 17 to May 31, American aircraft are allowed to stay at Sofia airport.
