Zarkov: BSP-Varna candidates have no dependencies

He is categorical that a fair Bulgaria is possible in two aspects

“The people on our list in Varna are specialists, socialists, but they also have another common characteristic - they are free people. They are not dependent on any groups, neither local, nor national, nor supranational. These are people who can guarantee integrity and whom we can trust”, said BSP Chairman Krum Zarkov in front of the packed hall in Varna. And he added: “What greater proof than the fact that they stepped onto this list exactly when nothing is certain and it is difficult. This is called dignity.“

Zarkov is categorical that a fair Bulgaria is possible in two aspects. “The first is the legal – fair trial, fair compensation. The second is no less important – socio-economic. The issue of fair redistribution, taxation, fair access to the systems we are talking about." In his words, the entire BSP program can be described with the concept of “access“.

“Access to healthcare, regardless of financial status. What is the access to healthcare for children in Varna now that they have closed the surgical department of “St. Anna?“, he asked. “And why are salaries lower in state and municipal hospitals? Because what Dr. Taskov has been appealing for for years and is written in our program - concluding a collective labor agreement - has not been done. Because there is a system that benefits private hospitals at the expense of others.“

Zarkov is categorical that people should have access to education, not according to the neighborhood you were born in, their health status or according to mom and dad's money. “Access to justice, access to a quality life, access to the right to stay and live where you were born, and not be forced to go to the big city. A fair Bulgaria is possible when we ensure this access and this goes through a clear political representation of the socialists, and they are only in one list.“

“There is no other political community in Bulgaria that is capable of standing up when everyone thinks it has fallen permanently. To stand up against itself when necessary and to break the predictions. And when they say - you are falling apart, let us unite. When they say - you lose, let us win. And when they say - you finish, let us say - now we begin."

„Socialists are one family. We may sometimes separate, fight or disagree, but in the end we come back to each other”, said the BSP chairman and handed over the party books to Prof. Marinela Grudeva and Ivan Velikov.

Dr. Desislav Taskov: Solidarity is not an outdated word from the past

„There are ideas that do not get old. There are causes that are passed down from generation to generation. The idea that labor should have dignity. That justice is not a privilege, but a right. That solidarity is not a weakness, but a strength that holds a society together. And this is precisely the meaning of our cause - a society is not built on who is stronger, but on whether people stand by each other.“ This was stated by the leader of the BSP-UNITED LEFT list in Varna, Dr. Desislav Taskov. According to him, today people are often left alone - with their difficulties and fears. “We believe that it can be different. We believe that the state can be by the people. That work should provide security and that no one should be left alone. Our list includes people who believe in these principles and stand behind them. This is not just politics, but a commitment to the entire society. The word solidarity is not an outdated word from the past. I believe that this is the word that shows the way forward“, said Dr. Taskov.
