In Haskovo they will vote three times this summer. The Supreme Administrative Court confirmed the decision of the Administrative Court to annul the results of the Municipal Council elections.
The reason was irregularities found during the recount. The experts encountered a discrepancy in the reporting of valid and invalid ballots.
"Categorically, the elections in Haskovo cannot be three in one. The vote for municipal councilors, the European Parliament and the National Assembly is held according to different rules, different electoral commissions, terms and requirements," he explained on the air of "Your Day". the chairman of the Municipal Election Commission Dobromir Yakimov.
According to his words, the Municipal Electoral Commission in Haskovo has notified the Central Election Commission and is awaiting a decree from President Rumen Radev.
"Until the elections are held, the powers of the old Municipal Council, operating in the mandate from 2019-2023, are automatically restored. All citizens can rest assured that the decisions of the already dissolved Municipal Council continue to be valid,' added Yakimov and stated that he expects a low voter turnout.
