A specialized police operation has been launched at the border points in our country. The actions are carried out by employees from the Main Directorate "Border Police", GDBOP, "Customs" Agency. and the National Revenue Agency.
The operation was ordered by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Kalin Stoyanov, BNT specified. The stated goal is a strengthened counteraction to smuggling and other crimes across the state border.
Control is carried out according to the created organization of work for a normal throughput mode - by calculating the forces and means; conducting a rotation of employees working in corruption-risk areas or performing corruption-risk activities. The task is to prevent the passage of undeclared goods without paying the due customs fees and taxes, the Ministry of the Interior revealed.
The mixed teams also control the order of checks of people and vehicles passing through border points.
Within the framework of the prevention of corrupt practices and abuse of official position, examiners conduct secondary discussions with passengers who have passed through customs and border checks in order to establish possible problems and incidents that occurred during their passage through the country.
