The emergency evacuation slide fell from a plane of the American airline company "Delta Airlines" after his departure from New York to Los Angeles, the airline said, quoted by Reuters and BTA.
The crew of the plane, which had 183 people on board, declared an emergency and returned to John F. Kennedy International Airport, Delta said.
"Because nothing is more important than the safety of our passengers and employees, the flight crews at "Delta" returned the plane to the airport by applying what they learned in their extensive training and following procedures, the airline said.
Its representatives said that the plane "Boeing 767" will undergo a thorough investigation and will not operate flights for the time being, and also that the airline will cooperate with the investigation.
The incident is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration.
