There will be no significant increase in the price of electricity for household consumers. This was stated by the Acting Minister of Energy Vladimir Malinov.
I think the price increase can be minimal within inflationary processes. There are mechanisms to achieve a lower price, he told bTV, but called for patience and to wait for the official decision of KEVR.
The liberalization of the market for household customers is an irreversible process. It will happen from January 1, 2026, the energy minister emphasized. This year and a half ahead of full liberalization should be used to teach the population how to manage their accounts, he added. "When it comes to the free market, there will be times when the price of electricity will be very low and times when it will be very expensive. Therefore, it is necessary to train the population during this remaining period until January 2026."
