A cyclist fell in Mount Murgash and hit his head badly, the Mountain Rescue Service (MSS) reported to BTA. The man was treated by mountain rescuers. He was handed over to an ambulance and taken to a hospital in Sofia.
The conditions for hiking in the mountains today are wonderful. Temperatures are between 4 and 11 degrees. The weather is clear and sunny. There is still snow in the higher parts of the mountain. The PSS warns that there is a danger of slipping on the steep terrain.
During an accident yesterday, a tourist was injured in the Rila Lakes area. He was transported by military personnel with a “Cougar” to St. George Hospital in Plovdiv.
