On May 27 and 28, a national external assessment will be held in the end of the 4th grade in Bulgarian language and literature and in mathematics.

There will be an exam in 1,738 schools, and around 55,000 students are expected to appear. 13,645 quaestors are engaged. This was announced by the Ministry of Education and Science.

The Ministry of Education also gave important instructions for the upcoming exams for fourth graders:

Kids must demonstrate what they have learned by solving a quiz within 60 minutes. For students with special educational needs, the time to solve the test is 90 minutes, i.e. 30 minutes more. The exam option is the same for all students.

Solving the test involves marking a selected correct answer or writing a free answer in a separate form.

The Bulgarian language test contains 21 tasks, divided into 3 parts. In the first, there is dictation and 10 multiple-choice tasks, a reading test and test tasks, and a creative speech task requiring a free response. The second part of the test consists of a reading comprehension text and up to 10 tasks to it – 4 tasks with a choice of answers 6 with a free answer. The third part of the test includes a creative task. Students are required to create a short text of 3 to 6 sentences using a visual support (in this case a series of pictures).

The HE test in mathematics at the end of IV contains 25 test tasks.

The grades from the national external assessment at the end of IV are expressed in the number of points and are entered in the certificate of completion of the initial stage of basic education.

Exams for HE in 4th grade start at 10 a.m.

Before the start of the exam, students are placed in the hall no later than 9:45 a.m.

Each student must bring a pen that writes in black, a pencil and an eraser, and for the math exam – and drawing tools. A student with impaired vision also carries a braille machine, a braille display, braille drawing tools, a technical device for enlarging the font when working with a computer and optical devices.

Have the students stay calm, read the condition of each task carefully and mark the correct one on the individual answer sheet. For the questions with a selectable answer, write the sign X in the circle with the corresponding letter, and write the answers to the questions with a free answer in the space provided for this.
