From 8:00 a.m. on May 29, the organization of traffic at the 16th km of the "Struma" AM will be changed. in the direction of Sofia for all cars. The traffic speed is reduced to 70 km/h, and traffic will be regulated by road signs, the API reported, quoted by BNR.
After the collapse of part of the retaining wall, immediate short-term actions were taken to excavate the earth masses to a stable foundation, drainage trenches over the affected section and drainage ribs along the slope, recalled the API. The upcoming repair works envisage the removal of the compromised part of the structure, as the analysis revealed cracks and a slope to the canvas. The appeal to drivers is to drive carefully, at an appropriate speed, observe the traffic rules, the necessary distance and not undertake risky overtaking that endangers the safety of all other passengers.
