Rosen Zhelyazkov from GERB-SDS, Dzhevdet Chakarov and Iskra Mihaylova from DPS withdrew

Late last night, the Central Election Commission announced the names of the Bulgarian deputies for the European Parliament, BNT reported.

After Rosen Zhelyazkov from GERB-SDS and Dzhevdet Chakarov, and Iskra Mihaylova from DPS, who withdrew from being MEPs. Here is the final list of the names of the Bulgarian representatives for the European Parliament:

GERB-SDS has five MEPs. Andrey Kovachev, Andrey Novakov, Emil Radev and Eva Maydel. And for the first term in the European Parliament, the Secretary General of the SDS, Iliya Lazarov, is entering. They will all join the EPP group.

The three seats from DPS will be filled by Ilhan Kuchuk, Taner Kabilov, former chairman of the youth organization of the DPS, and the fifth on the list - Elena Yoncheva. She was previously an MEP, but was elected with the BSP list. The three MEPs from the DPS will be part of the liberal group.

PP - DB also receive three seats. Their list has been seriously rearranged by preferences and it turns out that the former Speaker of the National Assembly Nikola Minchev, Hristo Petrov (known as Itso-Hazarta) and Radan Kanev are going to Brussels. Until now, Kanev was part of the EPP group and since DSB is part of the EPP, he should go there. However, it is not clear which group the two from the PP - Nikola Minchev and Hristo Petrov will join. PP declared their desire to be part of the Liberals, where the MRF is also.

"Vazrazhdane" also wins three seats in the European Parliament. Stanislav Stoyanov, the former journalist from the Bulgarian National Radio Petar Volgin and Rada Laikova are going there.

BSP so far had five representatives in the European Parliament, but now they will be only two. The leader of the list is Kristiyan Vigenin, the second is Rumen Gechev. Tsvetelina Penkova, who was an MEP and until now - with preferences is displacing Professor Gechev. And so Vigenin and Penkova were elected as MEPs. Of course, they will join the group of Socialists and Democrats.

ITN sends one representative - Ivaylo Valchev.
