A cold atmospheric front will pass through the country. During the night, there will be precipitation and thunderstorms in places, mainly in Northern Bulgaria, where the wind will be oriented from the west-northwest and cooler air will invade with it. This was announced by the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, quoted by BTA.
Today there will be precipitation in many places and it will mostly be short-lived, but intense and accompanied by thunder. The wind throughout the country will be oriented from the northwest and will be moderate. Conditions for strong thunderstorms and hail will be present in the afternoon mainly in the southeastern half of the country. The phenomena in Western Bulgaria will die down in the evening, and in Eastern Bulgaria the precipitation will stop during the night of Saturday. Daytime temperatures will drop and maximums will be between 22° and 27°, in Sofia – about 22°. Atmospheric pressure is slightly lower than the average for the month, around noon it will start to rise.
Over the Black Sea, cloud cover will be significant, with rain showers and thunderstorms. In places, mainly in the afternoon hours, the phenomena will be intense, with conditions for the development of powerful thunderstorms and hail. A moderate wind will blow from the north-northwest. Maximum temperatures will be between 23° and 27°. The temperature of the sea water is 23°-24°. The excitement of the sea will be 2 points.
The weather will be dynamic in the mountains. Colder air will move in with a moderate to strong northwesterly wind. Cumulonimbus clouds will develop and there will be showers and thunderstorms. In the evening, the phenomena in the massifs of Western Bulgaria will subside. The maximum temperature at 1200 meters will be about 18°, at 2000 meters – about 11°.
