Keremedchiev: Migration and social policy took Macron's head

There was arrogance in the rulers in France, said the former deputy foreign minister

Emmanuel Macron collapsed in France for two main reasons. One is migration and dealing with the migrant crisis, and the second is the social issue – the many thousands of protests over Macron's social policy were not taken into account.

This is what former Deputy Foreign Minister Milen Keremedchiev said on Euronews PrimeTime.

There was an arrogance in the rulers who once again ignored what was happening as an opposition. It is obvious that Marine Le Pen is not a phenomenon that came out now. Over the years, support for it has been growing.

According to Keremedchiev, this is a clash of two policies.

“Macron's is to be the hawk of the European Union, threatening Russia for the actual involvement of military forces on Ukrainian territory. Domestically, he had an arrogant, imposing and unforgiving policy without regard to the demands of the people. The third topic was the failure to deal with the migrant crisis, precisely topics that Mrs. Le Pen managed to unite”, the expert also commented.
