Romanian ambulance was the first to help a collapsed translator on the Danube bridge

So the woman stood for over an hour under the strong sun during the ceremony for the start of the renovation

A translator from the Romanian media fainted at the official ceremony for the start of the renovation of the Danube bridge in Ruse.

This is what Ruse24.bg saw.

The ceremony lasted longer than usual, as the Bulgarian ambassador to Bucharest, Radko Vlaikov, gave a more than 20-minute speech. Everything took place in the open, without an awning or other shelter.

So the woman stood under the strong sun for over an hour.

The event was immediately interrupted and emergency teams from Bulgaria and Romania were called.

Since the Romanian Emergency Service is on 24-hour duty at the border post in Giurgiu because of the heat, their medics arrived first and helped the woman.
