The mayor of the municipality of Kaloyanovo Mladen Kichev calls for volunteers to join the fight against the big fire near the village of Ivan Vazovo, BTA reported.
Above the village, the fire broke out again today with full force, Kichev reported.
The assembly point for the volunteers is tomorrow morning, at 7:30 a.m., in the center of Ivan Vazovo. Kichev recalls that they must be dressed in long clothes, carry picks, shovels and pestles.
According to the data of the Regional Directorate "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" - Plovdiv, the fire in the municipality of Hisarya near the city and the village of Mihiltsi has been brought under control. Fire engines remain on duty.
Dozens of firefighters, volunteers, military personnel and employees of the State Forestry Department took part in extinguishing the fire in Sredna Gora. The entire terrain of the fire covers more than 15 thousand acres of forest and flat areas and is monitored by drones. The partial state of emergency declared by the regional governor in the municipalities of Hisarya and Kaloyanovo remains in force.

Firefighters took part in extinguishing a fire in a forest near Ruse, located above the "Sredna Kula" district, the regional spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Danube city, Daniela Malcheva, announced. Five fire engines with firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
The situation with the fire in Svilengradsko remains serious, it is being extinguished from the air with two helicopters. Earlier in the day, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Miroslav Marinov, who participated in extinguishing the fire near the Svilengrad village of Dervish Mogila, said that the forest farms have 126 fire trucks for first response.
The fire that was burning on the border between the Republic of North Macedonia and Bulgaria, in Mount Ograzhden, has also spread to Bulgarian territory, reported the Southwest State Enterprise (YZDP). From there, they indicate that they are sending a firefighting vehicle from Sandanski, as well as employees from Strumyani. Fire crews were also on the scene.
The fire was localized in the land of the village of Prekolnitsa, Kyustendil municipality, on the territory of the State Hunting Farm "Osogovo", announced the SZDP.
The fire in Sredna Gora, which has been extinguished by volunteers, firefighters, employees of the State Forestry and military personnel for the third day, has been contained, announced the director of the Plovdiv Fire Department, Senior Commissioner Vasil Dimov.
