"I am surprised that the PP-DB requested a postponement of the handing over of the second mandate with the argument of holding meetings with the other political forces. After it has been known for almost a week that they will be the second term holder, they could use this time".
"There is no conversation with us in any form. Therefore, I find this proposal shirking responsibility." This was stated by the acting chairman of the BSP, Atanas Zafirov, before the BNR.
He commented that he expected PP-DB to show a different attitude and mentality of a carrier, not in the second, but in the third mandate.
"Measures to fight corruption will always meet our support, but when we talk about reforms, we must be more careful, because I immediately think of judicial reform and constitutional changes. Especially since I heard a request for a change in services and regulators and I ask – is this the agenda of the Bulgarian society", pointed out Zafirov.
According to him, replacements of the boards of the regulators with expired mandates are indeed needed, but this should be done by a stable majority with a clear vision.
"Let us see the declaration and the package of laws and measures they propose. We are ready for dialogue and we expect to be invited to talks, but without pre-set restrictions," Atanas Zafirov also said.
