The Governing Council of the BNB is meeting on the case with Andrey Gyurov, BNT reported.
At the meeting, the bankers must assess whether the Anti-Corruption Commission's decision on incompatibility with the position he holds, as deputy manager of the bank, is legitimate and whether this is grounds for his dismissal from the post.
The decision of the management board must be sent to the NA and can be appealed. The final decision rests with the deputies. Andrey Gyurov has already appealed the decision of the Anti-Corruption Commission to the court. The anti-corruption commission announced that Gyurov is incompatible with fulfilling his duties, due to his participation in a commercial company and membership in a governing body, which are not agreed with the BNB.
