The situation also remains complicated in the area of the village of Otets in Plovdiv Paisievo, where the fire has already destroyed over 30 buildings in the villa area. The duty teams on site have intervened several times in case of ignition of fires, BNT reports.
Today, a total of over 200 people - firemen, military, foresters and volunteers - are expected to be involved in extinguishing the fire, since due to the wind the fire started towards the neighboring village of Father Paisievo, Prolom. The most critical will be the situation before noon, since at that time the wind suddenly changes its direction.
"During the night, the colleagues extinguished single outbreaks that were renewed east of Otets Paisievo, as well as in the northern direction. Today, our main efforts will also be there, since we had several transferred clearings in the north that we were building before," explained senior commissioner Vasil Dimov - director of the fire department in Plovdiv.
The municipality of Kaloyanovo again issued a call for volunteers to help in the area of the village of Otets Paisievo.
According to preliminary data, more than 30 buildings were burned in the fire that broke out in the villa area of Father Paisievo two days ago.
