About 200 people remain on the ground fighting the big fire in the village of Voden. Firefighters , forest officials, gendarmerie, military personnel, heavy equipment and a military helicopter were involved in extinguishing the fire, which burned nearly 35 houses. bTV tells about the horror experienced by the people.
All nearly 500 inhabitants of the village were evacuated. At the moment, it is not clear on what area the fire spread, which also threatens two neighboring villages - Kraynovo and Sharkovo.

„What can I say – I do not know. I can see the flames coming towards us already. It was coming. By the time the police took me out, the flames had entered. Everything was bright. They are shouting, shouting for me to get out, because I will burn. They kicked me out, they took me down to the center“, Kalinka said.
„While it was burning, there was not a single fire station. Why didn't they let a fire department put it out? I am 66 years old and I was born in this house. Today it burned“, she pointed out.
Her daughter Daniela added that her husband went to the house, but the roof was already on fire.
With the approaching fire, the director of the home for the elderly in Voden, Zlatka Yaneva, begins its evacuation. 29 people were taken out. Many of them are difficult to move. While all this is happening, Zlatka's house also burns in the fire.
"I requested the police from the head of Elhovo. I was refused. My house burned down. I have nowhere to live. "Since I don't have a home, I can't continue working in the home for the elderly," she pointed out.
The electricity in the village was stopped, and with it the pump that provided water to the upper part of the village. In this area are also the biggest defeats.
„There was no water in the village. There was no water in the cisterns. Volunteers were stopped. To stop healthy and upright men who want to save their houses…“, said Ivan, who was one of the volunteers in the extinguishing.
