The subject of fires is the most important and relevant at the moment. Therefore, today we will submit a proposal to the budget committee for the allocation of additional funds for the purchase of equipment and consumables, as well as compensation for those affected by the fires. This was stated by the temporary chairman of the BSP Atanas Zafirov on the sidelines of the parliament, quoted by novini.bg.
He also called for an end to the bullying of the Bulgarian municipalities and demanded that the Ministry of Regional Development fulfill its commitments under the concluded contracts and pay the necessary funds to the municipalities.
When asked about the current political situation, Zafirov said that he was surprised by the PP-DB's quick decision to return the unfulfilled second mandate even before they received it.
All political parties, including us from BSP, have clearly declared our responsibility for dialogue. Only yesterday we spoke about the declaration of the PP-DB, we told them that they have our support for anti-corruption policies, but there is no way that this will be the only topic that will displace all others, added the temporary chairman of the Socialists. Regarding the third mandate, Zafirov repeated again that he is above-party and nationally responsible.
The mandate holder should not have a party mentality, but a nationally responsible one. Therefore, we call on whoever gets the third mandate to approach in such a way. Because I did not see a significant difference in the behavior of GERB and PP-DB. From GERB they said: “Either you support our cabinet, or we go to elections!”, and from PP-DB: “Either you support our declaration, or we go to elections!”, the deputy recalled.
When asked what the BSP will do if the third mandate goes to them, Atanas Zafirov answered that they will conduct dynamic talks in search of solutions that are nationally responsible for the country.
