I don't know where the third term will go. There are two main contenders. The chances of tenure are not great. Well, miracles also happen, we have to believe. This is what Yuri Aslanov said on the air of Nova News.
„After everyone is aware that the chances of success are not so high, why do some strive so much for this mandate to get it and what benefits will they calculate from the fact that it will not be realized?“, asked the sociologist.
According to him, the options for the third mandate are BSP and “There is such a people”.
„BSP which has been rocked by internal conflicts and dramas which I am not convinced are over yet the leadership wants this mandate to legitimize itself to the owl members and sympathizers that they are the right people approved from President Rumen Radev. They know that Radev is popular among left sympathizers, and a similar sign will sound to them as the president's approval of the new leadership, he added.
„There is such a people” are almost the only party without internal problems in the current parliament. Once again, Radev will signal that this party seems to be the most loyal to him, and will probably not cause problems for what he has in mind for the duration of this mandate. Unlike BSP and "Vazrazhdane", ITNs are not cornered; are probably more open to talks with parties than the so-called Euro-Atlantic spectrum. They have a bridge to talk even to “Revival”. It seems more logical to me that this third mandate should go to ITN“, he is categorical.
“We continue the change“-“Democratic Bulgaria“ they don't want new elections. They are not in a good position, they have a long way to go to regain their influence among the voters, and this cannot happen in 2-3 months. They are still the politicians punished in the last elections, who have not drunk their bitter cup to the bottom”, Aslanov also said.
In his words, for all parties, the topic of talking to their own supporters about how bad the other parties are remained. There is no other conversation with people. The parties are in continuous scandal with each other. The work goes on stubbornly or spitefully or revanchism, so we should not be surprised if in the upcoming elections we hit a new record of low voter turnout.
„There is one good news – people learned in these few years to live and get by independently of the state. Before that, they constantly fought for the attention of the state to show sympathy for their compassion. That's why now we don't have a crisis in the economy or in other areas, except in the institutions”, added the sociologist.
He commented on the actions of Delyan Peevski with the words: “He is trying to demonstrate again, God willing, for the last time, his influence on the institutions and the deep state, and to warn that if he continues this attack on something, he will take out trumps that won't be pleasant.“
He is categorical that the fight against corruption must become a national task and culture, otherwise we will not move an inch from our current place.
