The accident with an injured child happened on the main road Sofia – Varna, in the area of the village of Bulgarian Spring, Teteven municipality, announced the regional directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Lovech. The traffic was two-way in one lane.
The incident was reported this morning around 6:40 a.m., BTA reported. Two cars collided. A family was injured in one of the cars, traveling with their two children – six and eight years old.
The older child with more serious injuries was transported to a medical facility in Pleven, the other child and the parents were examined in the hunting hospital and released, the Center for Emergency Medical Assistance in Lovech.
In the case, pre-trial proceedings have been initiated and the reasons for the incident are being clarified.
