Jevdet Chakarov revealed the agenda of the meeting in Rosenets with Ahmed Dogan

Tension in the DPS

What will be discussed is naturally the current political situation in the country and current issues of the authentic DPS without Peevski.

This is what the chairman of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) Jevdet Chakarov told journalists upon entering Rosenets Park, where a meeting of the party's Central Operational Bureau is about to be held.

"The members of the Central Operations Bureau are invited, so we will discuss what I told you a moment ago and any decisions that will be made. You will be notified correctly," assured the deputy.

The tension in the DPS became apparent during the vote of the draft government of GERB-SDS with Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov on July 3. However, a day earlier, Ramadan Atalay, a prominent figure for the DPS, was expelled from the PG of the DPS.

On July 10, Ahmed Dogan called for the resignation of Delyan Peevski and wrote that there was an attempt at an internal party coup in the DPS, "in order to use party power for personal and group interests and, above all, to change the political profile of the party&quot ;.

The honorary chairman demanded the resignations of five more members of the party leadership - Halil Letifov, Stanislav Anastasov, Hamid Hamid, Erten Anisova and Radoslav Revanski.

Regarding the president's refusal to sign the decree for the appointment of a new cabinet proposed by Gorica Grancharova-Kozhareva, Chakarov commented that the Movement has already spread its position. "I confirm everything that I said yesterday in my interviews and in the position that we presented to the authentic DPS without Peevski. We must find a way out of the current unprecedented situation. We work for it, we realize our responsibilities. We expect a reasonable approach from the other political entities and the entire public, so that we can get out of this situation. Bulgaria needs a regular government more than ever in view of the situation in which we find ourselves. Reason must prevail", added the chairman of the DPS.

When asked if the list of candidates from which to choose the next caretaker prime minister should be increased, he replied: "In view of the fact that quite a few people have turned down and we see that the list is quite limited, we hope that to be shared by all, the National Assembly should fill in the "domestic book" with all positions so that there is a choice".

In his words, people should be chosen not only with a view to their possible participation in an official cabinet, but also to be able to fulfill their duties at the height of the responsibilities they assume.
