Emilia Milcheva: Carefully and smoothly GERB makes a turn to distance from Peevski

According to her, Boyko Borisov is trying to return things to the old course

"Obviously GERB very carefully and smoothly takes a turn to slightly distance by Mr. Peevski and his avatars. We already see today that Kalin Stoyanov remains with the only support - that of Peevski's DPS. All other political forces in one way or another distanced themselves from him and the actions of yesterday.

This is what the journalist and political observer Emilia Milcheva commented to the BNR regarding the withdrawal of confidence from GERB by Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov.

"What PP-DB is trying to offer - to fill in the "domestic book" at the behest of President Radev, are some belated actions in 12 without 5, which can hardly guarantee that figures with high public trust will be chosen for the positions", she expressed her opinion.

According to her, Boyko Borisov is trying to get things back on track:

"To continue to manage the official government of Dimitar Glavchev. If that is the case, he will have to look for a new interior minister. That would be the fastest possible way to move forward, to have a caretaker cabinet, if the president agrees, and an election date accordingly.

However, the problem is that both Kalin Stoyanov and Delyan Peevski show that they are not ready to back down, the journalist noted in an interview for the show "12+4".

"One such clash - if there is political pressure for Stoyanov to resign, and he does not agree, this will lead to quite high tension.

According to her, if the next candidacy for the position of interior minister has the same characteristics as Kalin Stoyanov, but it simply won't be called that, things in the system will calm down. In almost all cases, the minister was a person from the system, she reminded and added that at the moment there is no time for more serious changes and reforms. "In order for there to be calm and to reduce the tension, it must be a person from the Ministry of Interior system," Milcheva is categorical.

She is of the opinion that it will be very difficult to force Stoyanov to resign.

If the completion of the "home book" fails, there are two options, the journalist also commented. One is to continue Glavchev's office with certain adjustments in its composition. The other option is for the president to seek another consent of a person from the "home book". We already know that there is one agreement - that of Petar Chobanov, which, however, the president ignores and does not listen to, she noted.
