Karadimov: The proposals to the CEC do not require time or money, but provide more guarantees

The minister, appointed as the coordinator for the vote on October 27, held a working meeting today in the Regional Administration regarding the cabinet's commitments for the material and technical provision of the upcoming parliamentary elections

There is enough time for the government's proposals to the CEC to guarantee transparent and fair parliamentary elections to enter into force. This was stated in Burgas by the Minister of Innovation and Growth Assoc. Rosen Karadimov.

„They require neither more money nor additional terms. Either way, authenticating machines is a process. Whether one or a few components of machines which are a selective sample of the Ministry of e-Governance will be certified is not a problem at all. Seals are also not because the delivery can be done in a very short time. They explained to me that there are many such manufacturers. It's a simple effort. The point here is that the one who supplies the seal is not the one who puts them on the machine. The case is organizational, it is neither financial nor time-related”, explained Rosen Karadimov, quoted by Nova TV.

The minister appointed as the coordinator for the vote on October 27 held today a working meeting in the Regional Administration regarding the commitments of the cabinet for the material and technical provision of the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Karadimov recalled that among the cabinet's proposals to the CEC is to optimize the process of the certification of the machines by the Ministry of Electronic Management, authentication of the parameterization software and the software for the flash memories and their contents. And the seals with which these flash drives are sealed should be supplied by a different legal entity from the one that puts the seals on the public contract.

In his words, if the proposals are not accepted by the CEC, it does not mean that the electoral process will not be correct.

Minister Rosen Karadimov stated that an official meeting with the CEC is coming up on Monday and he hopes that at this meeting he will receive positive answers to the questions raised by the government.
