The US State Department has approved the possible sale of Javelin missiles to Bulgaria. (Javelin FGM-148F) and their associated equipment worth a total of 114 million dollars, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA, referring to a Pentagon statement.
According to the decision of the National Assembly of August 8 of this year, the Investment Expenditure Project (PIR) “Acquisition of basic combat equipment for the construction of battalion combat groups from the composition of a mechanized brigade” it is planned to be carried out through the execution of three contracts: a contract for the acquisition of "Stryker" machines, a contract for the acquisition of artillery and small arms, and subsequently through a contract for the acquisition of guided anti-tank missiles "Javlin".
