Sofia City Prosecutor's Office has initiated pre-trial proceedings for election violations of the parliamentary vote, which took place on October 27, 2024. It is against Sectional and District Election Commissions in Stara Zagora, Kardzhali, Blagoevgrad and Sofia, reports Nova TV.
According to the indictment, the Commissions “violated and failed to fulfill their official duties in order to obtain benefit for another and cause harm to another, and this could have resulted in significant harmful consequences”.
Pre-trial proceedings were initiated after a preliminary investigation based on signals received by the prosecutor's office from the executive director of “Information Services“ AD and the chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Bulgaria, the SGP emphasizes.
The investigation was assigned to an investigator due to the factual and legal complexity of the case.
