The Speaker of the National Assembly Natalia Kiselova returns the request for a referendum on the euro to President Rumen Radev, NOVA learned.
This means that the parliament will not consider the head of state's proposal, nor will it put it to a vote. Which in turn excludes the hypothesis that the head of state will subsequently refer the matter to the Constitutional Court. GERB confirmed in a post on Facebook that the National Assembly will not put the request for a referendum on the euro, requested by the head of state, to a vote.
Just a few days ago, the political party called for the head of state's proposal not to be voted on at all, neither in committees nor in the plenary hall. And they demanded that the Speaker of the National Assembly directly return it to the sender as inadmissible.
