Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev is offended because the budget he wants will not be adopted. It is as if he is the sole owner of Sofia and the Sofia Municipal Council (SOC) has no right to make proposals. This was commented by the municipal councilor from "BSP for Bulgaria" Vanya Grigorova during the discussion of the draft budget of the Sofia Municipality for 2025.
The mayor has repeated countless times that the proposals are being made against his will, but he has not yet understood that he is not in a corporate environment, Grigorova said. "Vazrazhdane" sharply criticized Terziev for the lack of information, for the mayor's refusal to hold talks on the budget with the individual groups.
Everyone is commenting and insisting on providing data on the concluded contracts and the progress of the individual projects, Grigorova said. According to her, the mayor is responding with "foot stamping, grumbling and administrative blockage". The "economic majority" is expanding with each month. Soon only Terziev and Vassilev will remain outside it. And they will send each other hearts, the municipal councilor also said.
Diana Tonova from "BSP for Bulgaria" reproached the deputy mayor for finance Ivan Vassilev for behaving arrogantly and haughtily when they talked about the budget. According to her, the financial framework is unbalanced. This is a non-program budget in terms of healthcare, with extremely low parameters, with changed implementation deadlines, with a lack of any vision in terms of maintaining the base and equipment of medical institutions and in particular the DCCs, said Tonova. She pointed out that the same projects, not implemented in the previous year, are being transferred to the current one, which has never happened in municipal healthcare.
We cannot want to have quality municipal healthcare, which we all claim is the backbone of healthcare in general, which is in poor basic conditions and without equipment. We have dozens, even hundreds of requests from DCC managers for repairs and equipment, she also said.
