The Consumer Protection Commission is taking action on Lukoil prices and is initiating an urgent investigation

During the investigation, the collected data will be requested and analyzed

Following communication with the Commission for the Protection of Competition in connection with the determination of fuel prices by "Lukoil Neftochim Burgas" AD and "Lukoil Bulgaria" EOOD, reasonable assumptions have arisen about potential harm to all consumers.

The Consumer Protection Commission is taking action on its own and will conduct an in-depth investigation in order to establish whether the economic interests of people have been harmed in the retail trade of fuels.

During the investigation, the collected data will be requested and analyzed.

The efforts of the Consumer Protection Commission will be focused primarily on establishing whether there are violations of people's rights in determining the final price of fuels. These actions represent only part of the close interaction and constant coordination between the two institutions, with a view to preventing violations in the most effective way and ensuring a deterrent effect on the behavior of unscrupulous traders, as is clear from the press release of the CPC.
