Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev commented on the third consecutive vote of no confidence that "Vazrazhdane" is submitting against the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet. Georgiev argues that it is obvious that the submitters of the vote themselves are worried, having done so after the end of the working day on Friday, BNT reports.
"I certainly do not think that the goals are particularly serious, nor the intentions, because the vote was submitted in the dark, after working hours. So, apparently the submitters themselves have something that they are embarrassed by. We are currently on the verge of another very big achievement - to enter the eurozone, and now attempts are being made to sabotage the process. I do not think that the vote will be successful because what is aimed at with it is to remove Bulgaria from the European context in which it chose to develop so many years ago.", the foreign minister also said.
He commented on the topic of the vote of no confidence before the General Assembly of the GERB Youth Organization, which elected a new leadership of the organization. Georgi Vladov was elected chairman of Mladezhi-GERB. He was unanimously supported for the post - with 239 votes "for", 0 "against" and 0 "abstains", Nova TV adds. Vladov has previously been the coordinator of the "Sredets" district. The event is attended by Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and GERB leader Boyko Borisov.
Yesterday, the Speaker of the Parliament Natalia Kiselova stated that the vote of no confidence in the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet submitted by "Vazrazhdane" will not be successful.
