In early elections, GERB and “DPS - New Beginning” can take 50% of the seats in parliament due to the poor condition of the other parties. This prediction was made on the air of “Offensive with Lyubomir Ognyanov” on NOVA NEWS by political scientist Prof. Alexander Marinov.
“Probably the negatives in terms of public mood will be there already in the beginning of autumn. Then the already strong in parliament –GERB and “DPS - New Beginning” "may decide to go to the polls," he explained.
Accordingly, an early vote is possible even before the adoption of the euro.
„As you well know, the introduction of the euro is met with resistance and doubts from the majority of Bulgarians. Therefore, how many people are currently taking to the streets is one question, and how many people will then express their dissatisfaction in some way is another question. It is possible that an early election could turn into a kind of referendum like the one that was not allowed," Marinov also said.
According to him, there will not be much of a price increase after January 1, because it will happen by January 1.
He also commented on the scandal in "Continuing the Change".
„A new manifestation of the PP's incompetence. It started with the infamous recording years ago. On the other hand, this scandal exposes some fundamental flaws in the political system. It is not just a problem of the PP, but of all parties," Marinov concluded.
