A total of 171 fires were extinguished in the country over the past 24 hours, no people were injured, the Main Directorate “Fire Safety and Population Protection” - Ministry of Internal Affairs announced on the department's website. The information is as of 6:00 a.m. this morning.
During the period from 00.00 to 24.00 on July 5, firefighters responded to 210 reports of accidents.
With direct material damage, 28 fires occurred, of which three in residential buildings, two in industrial buildings, seven in vehicles, two in forests and eight in agriculture.
Without material damage, 143 fires occurred, of which 108 in dry grass, forest litter and bushes, one in stubble and 28 in waste.
31 rescue and assistance operations were carried out, of which four in accidents in vehicles.
Eight false alarms were registered. There were no deaths or injuries in the fires.
The fire department in Kardzhali yesterday extinguished a barn fire in the land of the village of Zvezdelina. The fire was localized from three sides, it entered a mixed forest, with a total area of between 900 and 1000 decares of dry grasses, bushes and mixed forest.
