The fourth vote of no confidence in the Zhelyazkov cabinet is being voted on

The vote is on the topic of "failure in the environmental policy of the cabinet", and was initiated by "Velichye" and supported by "Vazrazhdane" and MECH

The National Assembly will vote today on the vote of no confidence in the cabinet with Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov for failure in environmental and water policy.

The debates on the vote of no confidence continued on Thursday for nearly four hours.

The vote is on the topic of „failure in the environmental policy of the cabinet", and was initiated by „Velichye" and supported by „Vazrazhdane" and MECH.

Krassimira Katincharova from „Velichye" presented the reasons for the fourth vote of no confidence against the government: “Failure in waste management in a crisis that has turned into an ecological catastrophe. This vote of no confidence is justified by gross violations of the constitutional and international rights of citizens to a healthy environment."

According to Katincharova, it is not known what kind of waste is dumped at illegal dumps. "Field inspections in all areas of the country show persistent structural and institutional irresponsibility. Bulgaria is turning into a huge dump that risks swallowing it up. The vote of no confidence in this government is not a political declaration, but a legal and social necessity. This government is not capable, it is unwilling and that is precisely why it must leave, and the proposed vote must be supported," said Katincharova.

Previous votes of no confidence for failure in foreign policy, the fight against corruption and fiscal policy were unsuccessful. The hall in the National Assembly was again half empty and some of the deputies were absent from the debate. The vote on this vote of no confidence will be item one on the deputies' agenda on Friday.
