The National Assembly made several small but important steps during the past parliamentary session. This was said by the Speaker of the Parliament, Assoc. Prof. Natalia Kiselova, to journalists the day after the end of the plenary season, quoted by Nova TV.

"The first is in connection with receiving funds under the PVP, the second - the efforts to enter the eurozone were rewarded. In addition, a significant part of the bodies with expired mandates were renewed. The most difficult bodies remain for the next session. The thesis that the voters are unrepresented is incorrect. There are 9 parliamentary groups and four independents. The diversity of social and public views is quite well represented, and that with low voter turnout," she commented.
According to her, the nomination committee for the selection of members of the Anti-Corruption Commission has begun work. "It includes representatives of lawyers, the Supreme Court of Cassation, the Chamber of Accounts, the Ministry of Justice and the Ombudsman. Let them do their job and we will see if there will be a session of the National Assembly in August or September. There is a potential possibility for an extraordinary convocation, but I do not see the need. It is clear that the topic of the CPC goes to both extremes - to elect the most honest people or to close it, because we did not elect them," Kiselova pointed out.

She also commented on her requested resignation. "The opposition is looking for a way to consolidate and General Atanasov proposed my name as a topic. Each party is looking for support from the others and the question is what will unite them," Kiselova believes.
