The district prosecutor's office in Plovdiv opened a pre-trial proceeding after the action in which the former policeman from Plovdiv, sentenced to life imprisonment, barricaded himself in his home, BNT reported.
Venceslav Karadjov will be responsible for his actions, with which he deliberately prevented the law enforcement agencies from doing their work according to the law.
Karadzhov was also questioned as a witness in another pre-trial proceeding. It is about possible material concealment. According to the District Attorney's Office, there are reports that while the man was in custody on charges of murdering his parents, two of his names were sold – in the village of Dedevo and a plot of land in Plovdiv.
This was done through a power of attorney he gave to a member of his family so that the properties could be transferred to his son. His son was subsequently misled into giving power of attorney to his mother for the sale of the properties in question. Thus, they were bought by other persons, and then the cash from the transactions was not handed over to Venceslav Karadjov's son, but was kept by his mother and a third person. The case is being investigated.
