Russian President Vladimir Putin said today that Russia will conduct a nuclear test if another nuclear power does it, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
Putin said this at the plenary session of the Valdai Discussion Club in the Russian resort city of Sochi.
Putin noted that the dialogue between Russia and the US remains complicated and one of the factors that must be taken into account in new arms control negotiations is the fact that Russia has a new missile - the "Oreshnik".
The Russian president also said that if China is included in a possible new arms control agreement, the nuclear arsenals of Britain and France must also be taken into account.
