France has a new government, with Sebastien Lecornu remaining at the helm

The foreign and military ministers retained their posts

The French presidency revealed last night the composition of a new government, headed by Sebastien Lecornu, which includes both familiar and new faces, Agence France-Presse reported, noting that the aim is to avoid a deepening of the political crisis, BTA reported.

Jean-Noël Barrot remains foreign minister, and the position of minister of the armed forces is given to the previous minister of labor, Catherine Vautrin.

The government was formed "to give France a budget before the end of the year", said Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu.

""The only thing that matters is the interest of the country", he emphasized in "Ex", thanking the ministers "who participate in this government completely freely, without regard to personal and party interests".
