Russian air defense downs 10 drones flying towards Moscow today – a day after a Ukrainian strike on a power plant cut off heat supply to a town near the capital, Reuters reported, citing the Defense Ministry, BTA reported.
From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Moscow time (7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Bulgarian time), 50 Ukrainian drones were shot down over Moscow, Bryansk, Kaluga and Kursk regions, as well as over Crimea and the waters of the Black Sea, the ministry said in a statement.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said emergency services were working at the sites where debris from the downed drones fell.
Meanwhile, a woman was killed and a man injured after a Ukrainian drone hit a car in the village of Repyakhovka in the Krasnoyaruz district of Belgorod region, authorities in the Russian region bordering Ukraine said.
