Ukraine received about 2.3 billion euros from the European Union, reports “Ukrainska Pravda“. This assistance comes after the EU Council approved the allocation of the sixth tranche under the “Ukrainian Instrument“ mechanism, reports News.bg.

Of the total amount, 2.1 billion euros were provided as loan financing, and 200 million euros - as grants. This is the sixth regular tranche under Pillar I of the instrument and the funds will be directed to the country's priority social and humanitarian needs.

To receive the new tranche, Ukraine has successfully completed eight steps under the necessary reform agenda, as well as one additional step required under the fourth tranche.

“Support under the “Ukraine Instrument“ mechanism is crucial for strengthening Ukraine's macro-financial stability and ensuring the continuous functioning of public administration during the war. The successful implementation of more than 60 steps under the Plan for Ukraine confirms our commitment to reforms, reconstruction and progress towards membership in the European Union,“ said the Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Serhiy Marchenko.
